Funny I have yet to have this surgery and the opinions have already come pouring in. Some good, some bad, and some just the talk of the un-knowing. I am doing this surgery for me, to be able to enjoy my children. Telling me it is the easy way out, or your gonna get too skinny...all comments that hurt, but will not sway my decision. Some I do not take personally because I know they are said out of concern not malice. It is funny though...your a lazy pig if your fat, and your sickly and to skinny if you lose the weight.
I was told I will find out who my real friends are after this surgery, and the one's who just kept me as the "fat" friend. i hope I prove them wrong, and keep all my friends. I am happy for all that I know who have had this surgery, because I know the freedom they now have..and the prison they were in before.
I intend to keep my head held high and keep pushing on towards my goal!!!
